Here is a recipe for Rasta Pasta ¹ ²:


  • 16 ounces of pasta
  • 2 chicken breasts or 2 cups of shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 3 tablespoons of jerk seasoning
  • 3 bell peppers in different colors – sliced
  • ½ cup of green onions – sliced
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic – minced
  • ¼ cup of vegetable stock
  • ½ cup of heavy cream
  • ½ cup of parmesan cheese – grated


  1. Cook pasta according to the package instructions.
  2. If using raw chicken, cube it, toss in jerk seasoning and cook until it’s golden and cooked through.
  3. Add vegetable oil to a heavy bottomed pot, and saute bell peppers with green onions.
  4. Add the minced garlic and cook until it’s fragrant.
  5. Add jerk seasoning to the pot.
  6. Add heavy cream, cooked chicken and vegetable stock to the pot.
  7. Simmer for a few minutes or until the sauce thickens, mix in the parmesan in the sauce and then mix in the pasta.
  8. Garnish with chopped chives, green onions or parsley and serve.
