This recipe offers a simple yet flavorful way to prepare pork chops, infusing them with a zesty and savory marinade for a delicious end result. The marinade combines a variety of complementary flavors, starting with a teaspoon of onion powder that adds a subtle, aromatic note. The 1/2 teaspoon of oregano contributes a hint of earthiness, while the 1/3 cup of olive oil provides a rich and smooth base.

The marinade’s acidity comes from the 1/4 cup of lemon juice, which adds a bright and citrusy element to balance the dish. To enhance the umami and depth of flavor, 1/4 cup of soy sauce is included, offering a salty and savory profile. The 1 tablespoon of brown sugar adds a touch of sweetness, harmonizing the overall taste. Pepper is added to taste, providing a bit of heat and completing the well-rounded flavor profile of the marinade.

To execute the recipe, the pork chops are placed in a convenient ziplock bag, allowing for easy marination. The marinade is then poured into the bag, enveloping the chops thoroughly. The bag is sealed, removing as much air as possible to ensure the marinade coats the meat evenly. Marinating the pork chops overnight in the refrigerator is recommended, with regular turning to guarantee that all surfaces of the chops absorb the flavorful marinade.

On the day of grilling, the marinated chops are removed from the bag, and any excess marinade is discarded. Allowing the chops to come to room temperature before grilling ensures even cooking. The grilling time of 10 to 15 minutes is provided as a general guideline, with the actual duration depending on the heat of the grill and personal preference for doneness.

Ultimately, this recipe promises a succulent and well-seasoned dish, highlighting the natural flavors of the pork while infusing it with a harmonious blend of onion, oregano, lemon, soy, and brown sugar. It is a straightforward and enjoyable method to elevate the taste of pork chops for a delightful dining experience.
