Ingredients:

1 whole chicken (approximately 3-4 pounds)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon dried thyme or rosemary (optional)
Lemon wedges for serving (optional)
Instructions:

Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).

Prepare the Chicken:

Remove any giblets or neck from the chicken cavity.
Pat the chicken dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This helps achieve a crispy skin.
Season the Chicken:

Rub the outside of the chicken with olive oil, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and any optional herbs like thyme or rosemary.
Season the chicken, both inside and outside, with the spice mixture. Make sure to rub the seasoning into the skin for better flavor.
Truss the Chicken (Optional):

Trussing helps the chicken cook more evenly. You can use kitchen twine to tie the legs together.
Place in Air Fryer:

Put the seasoned whole chicken in the air fryer basket, breast side up. If your air fryer is small, you may need to adjust the chicken to fit comfortably.
Cook in Air Fryer:

Cook the chicken at 360°F (182°C) for about 30-40 minutes per pound. For a 3-4 pound chicken, this will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
Halfway through the cooking time, pause the air fryer and flip the chicken to ensure even cooking.
Check for Doneness:

Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature. The thickest part of the chicken (not touching the bone) should register at least 165°F (74°C).
Rest and Serve:

Once the chicken reaches the desired temperature, let it rest for about 10 minutes before carving.
Serve with lemon wedges if desired.
Once the shrimp are cooked, transfer them to a bowl and pour the garlic butter sauce over them. Toss until the shrimp are evenly coated.

  1. Serve:

Serve the air-fried shrimp with garlic butter sauce immediately, garnished with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges on the side.
