- 1 block of firm tofu
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 bell pepper, diced
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional toppings: avocado, salsa, chopped fresh herbs
- Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels. Crumble the tofu into bite-size pieces using your hands or a fork.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add the crumbled tofu to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables.
- Add the turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to evenly distribute the spices.
- Cook the tofu scramble, stirring occasionally, for about 10-12 minutes, until the tofu is heated through and slightly crispy.
- Serve the tofu scramble hot with your desired toppings.
