• 1 block of firm tofu
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: avocado, salsa, chopped fresh herbs


  1. Drain the tofu and pat it dry with paper towels. Crumble the tofu into bite-size pieces using your hands or a fork.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add the crumbled tofu to the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables.
  5. Add the turmeric, cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to evenly distribute the spices.
  6. Cook the tofu scramble, stirring occasionally, for about 10-12 minutes, until the tofu is heated through and slightly crispy.
  7. Serve the tofu scramble hot with your desired toppings.

Optional: You can also add other vegetables such as mushrooms, spinach, or tomatoes to the tofu scramble for extra flavor and nutrition.
