- 2 slices of your favorite bread (baguette, Italian, or French bread work well)
- 2 tablespoons of butter, softened
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 cup of pizza sauce
- 1/2 cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- Optional toppings: sliced pepperoni, olives, bell peppers, onions, etc.
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
- Olive oil (for brushing)
- Prepare the Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter and minced garlic together. This will be used to spread on the bread.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
- Assemble the Garlic Bread: Lay out your slices of bread on a clean surface. Spread the garlic butter evenly on both sides of each slice.
- Add Pizza Sauce and Toppings: On one side of each bread slice, spread a layer of pizza sauce. Add your desired toppings on top of the sauce. Don’t overload it, or it may not cook evenly.
- Sprinkle with Cheese: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese generously over the toppings. You can also add a bit of grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
- Brush with Olive Oil: Lightly brush the outer side of the bread with a bit of olive oil. This helps make the crust crispy in the air fryer.
- Air Fry: Place the prepared garlic bread pizzas in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap. You may need to do this in batches if your air fryer is small. Cook for about 5-6 minutes or until the cheese is melted, and the bread is crispy and golden. Keep an eye on them, as cooking times can vary depending on your air fryer model.
- Serve: Carefully remove the garlic bread pizzas from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute or two. Garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired. Then, slice and enjoy your easy garlic bread pizza!
