An easy-to-prepare air fryer fakeaway recipe for chicken fried rice. Better than your local takeaway!
Ingredients
- 2 skinless chicken breasts, diced
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon mild curry powder
- 250g pack of microwave long-grain rice
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five spice
- 1/2 teaspoon lazy ginger
- 1/2 red onion, finely diced
- 1/2 a carrot, grated
- 1 tin of garden peas, drained (alternatively use a handful of mixed frozen vegetables)
Instructions
- Coat the diced chicken in the curry powder and season with salt and pepper.
- Add to the air fryer for 7 minutes at 200 degrees
- Add the microwave rice to a bowl and add the hoisin, soy, garlic, five spice, ginger, onion, carrot and peas and mix well.
- Once the chicken has cooked, remove from the air fryer, then add the rice mixture on the bottom, then add the diced chicken on top.
- Cook for a further 8 minutes on 200 degrees
